I recently had a customer ask me for a simple idea for a princess cake that would be easy for her to make. She felt she was not a very good cake maker herself and couldn’t afford a fancy cake by a cake decorator. So I have been hunting for a cake that would not only be super easy to make but also look fantastic! I think this cake is so pretty. It’s just a simple two layer pink cake with a cute princess tiara on top for the decoration. I love the paper doily underneath and the gorgeous white cake stand just finishes it off. If you don’t have a cake stand, never fear. You can easily make one out of some cardboard boxes wrapped in some white wrapping paper and tied with a pretty pink ribbon. This gorgeous cake is not only simple but it fits the budget and is perfect for any little princess. Enjoy.
My daughter is having a disco party for her 10th birthday so I have been on the hunt for some party inspiration. She had a hawaiian disco party when she was 7 but has asked to have a pink, black and silver disco party this year! While I have been on the hunt I have found some amazing disco party cakes that I just have to share with you. They look too good to eat! Yum!

Isn’t this just the cutest cake! What a great theme for a 1st birthday party. You could colour coordinate it with green and red party supplies and turn this loveable storybook character into a gorgeous garden party theme.

Easy Race Car Cake
1 lb icing sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
3-5 tbsp. of milk
Soften butter at room temp for awhile, or set on the stovetop while the oven preheats- don’t get it too melty though. Beat the powdered sugar into the butter+milk a bit at a time, so you don’t find yourself in a powder cloud. Add the vanilla. If it’s still too dry, put in another spoon of milk.
The Speckled Freckle Party Place thanks Jamie Lauretta for this great recipe!
